Easter, Here We Come!

The Easter preparations are in full swing at our house.  For the past couple of days I’ve been spending my spare time brainstorming about an Easter Brunch menu.  But first things first:

My son’s Preschool Easter party.  Due date: tomorrow.  I saw some fun cupcakes in the shape of Easter baskets while getting my surfing practice in, online, but most of them seemed a bit over the top.  Now, once in a while, “over the top” is great.  In my book, Easter isn’t the time for that.  Easter cupcakes should be elegant, pretty, preferably simple, yet stylish.  The final result:

Little birds nests made out butter cake and chocolate frosting.  Unless you’re not from this planet, you can’t go wrong with that.  Hey, and you know you did something right when you ask your toddlers: “Try this, and tell me what you think.  Be HONEST” and (with their mouths full) they respond with: “MORE”!  Yep, I scored!

Click here for the recipe of these elegant Easter cupcakes.  Fun to make with your children, but hard to keep them from “testing” them.

Until next time,

Savor food, savor family, savor life.
