We recently found out that Kai has a milk-intolerance. It doesn’t mean we have to take milk out of the diet completely, but the glasses of milk in the morning and at bedtime are gone. He absolutely did not go for Almond milk, so through yogurt and cheese we’re making sure that he still grows strong and healthy bones…
And, with summer coming, what better way to do that than with smoothies?
Yogurt + Fruit = Match Made in Heaven
This recipe is so easy, it doesn’t get much easier than this. Make sure you make enough, because here at the house there are always requests for more.
- 2 cups Whole yogurt (you can certainly use low-fat as well)
- 1 cup Apple juice
- 1 Banana, cut in pieces
- 2 cups frozen mixed berries, almost thawed
- 3 tsp. Honey
- Blend everything together in a blender, until smooth.
- Pour and drink.
Serves: 2-4 (depending on the size of the glasses)
