As the Lady of The House, I want to look presentable. Thus, manicures, pedicures, facials, massages, are part of my weekly routine.
And then I wake up.
And go back to reality, hoping that the same dream will return the following night, when I lay my head down on my pillow after a day of laundry, doing dishes, feeding hungry mouths, bathing muddy children and … doing more laundry. May I remind you that I am a Mom to Boys. And boys like to get dirty (as they should – it comes with the job description). My manicure consists of shlapping some hand cream on my hands once in a while. When I think of it. Needless to say, my hands deserve a bit more attention.
And this Oat Flour Hand Mask I found on Beauty is my Duty does the trick. I do have to admit that it’s hard not to pick at the mask while it is setting on your hands, but the thing that counts is that it leaves your hands soft. Soft hands! Perfect. Now, if only I remembered to moisturize a bit more, maybe I could keep them soft just a tad longer…

My name is Marieke. I live in Los Angeles with my 5 boys: my husband, 2 toddler boys and 2 Australian Shepherds. The cat feels she’s the Queen, but she’s got delusions of grandeur. The kitchen is my haven and the occasional glass of “Mommy Juice” keeps me sane in the midst of all the testosterone around here.
I’m so glad you found these recipes useful!
Have a good day!
